1985 continued adding new and exciting models to the Mighty Tonka series. The model line up grew to eleven. Carried over from 1984 were Model #3901 Mighty Dump, #3905 Mighty Mixer, #3907 Mighty Dozer, #3920 Mighty Loader, #3925 Mighty Crane, #3931 Mighty Backhoe, #3945 Mighty Grader and #4002 Mighty Loadmaster. New models were #3904 Mighty Tower Boom, #5202 Mighty Car Carrier and #6395 Mighty Strongarm Loader. Only model #3954 Mighty Adventure Buggy was deleted.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: All models carried over from 1984 remain unchanged. Mirror images.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: New to the Mighty series in 1985, the Strongarm Loader seemed to be unable to find a home. It was initially "NEW" in 1979 as model #4200 and was assigned to its own series, Strongarm. In 1980, 1981 and 1982, the Strongarm Loader was assigned to the Hand Command series. In 1983, the model number changed to #6395 and was assigned to the Toddler series. After languishing for another year as a Toddler toy, in 1985, #6395 became the Mighty Strongarm Loader. Unfortunately, it never made it to 1986.
