1978 to 1997 Cab Decal	1979 Hydraulic Dump Cab Decal

Continuing on in 1979 were model #3875 Para-Medic Rescue Team, #3885 Winnebago, #3956 Bell Telephone Truck (was #3956 Tonka Utility in 1978), #3900 Mighty Dump, #3907 Mighty Bulldozer, #3915 Mighty Wrecker, #3920 Mighty Loader, #3940 Mighty Crane, #3950 Mighty Mixer, #3953 Fashion Buggy, #3954 Mighty Off-Road Adventure Buggy, #3984 Mighty Hydraulic Dump, #3985 Mighty Custom Van and #3991 Mighty Car Carrier. There were no new models introduced in 1978. Models #3989 Mighty Forklift with Container and #3945 Mighty Grader were deleted in 1979.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: #3875 Para-Medic Rescue Team, #3885 Winnebago Camper and #3956 Bell Telephone Truck were assigned to the Play People series but as stand alone trucks, are Mightys.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: In 1978, model #3956 was named Tonka Utility Truck. In 1979, even after a radical color and graphics change to Bell Telephone, the truck still carried the #3956 model number.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The air breather and exhaust stacks were deleted from the pivoting cab on #3940 Mighty Crane

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The motor unit on #3920 Mighty Loader was redesigned to remove all side openings. The motor was deleted (it was hidden from view with the redesign) and both air breathers were deleted

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: Mighty Car Carrier #3991 changed to an all black color scheme. The hubs were also black with a hot stamped silver trim ring.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: #3915 Mighty Wrecker changed colors from light blue cab and bed to dark blue cab and bed. One boom was deleted. A new full width roof replaced the old single driver/operator roof. The tow hook was deleted from the bed and provisions to attach it were also deleted.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: #3984 Mighty Hydraulic Dump changed color from an orange cab wrap, roof and bed with a black chassis and orange hubs to a reddish orange cab wrap, roof and bed with a black chassis and white hubs. A new cab decal was also used (see example above).

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The roof on #3885 Winnebago Camper changed from beige to white.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The dark blue #3985 Mighty Custom Van changed to black. The twin short antennas were replaced with a single whip.

CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The hubs on #3986 Mighty Off-Road Adventure Buggy changed to a removable type with a hot stamped silver trim ring.
