1967 Tonka Gas Turbine Trucks
1967 Tonka Turbine models carrying into 1967 were #620 Cement Mixer, #840 Car Carrier, #910 Bottom Dump, #926 Pumper, #998 Aerial Ladder, #2175 Construction Set and #2180 Road Builders Set. The Gas Turbine product line was increased by one with the addition of model #690 Sanitary Service truck.
CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: To tell the difference between a 1966 #620 Mixer and a 1967 #620 Mixer, look for the lever used to raise the mixer drum assembly. The tip of the lever was white plastic in 1965 and 1966. It changed to black in 1967.
CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: To tell the difference between a 1966 #910 Bottom Dump and the 1967 version, look no further than the plastic tips used to actuate the dump doors. In 1966, the plastic tips were white. In 1967, the tips were red. Additionally, there was no decal on either side of the dump trailer in 1966. In 1967, a three line decal was added.
CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: In 1967, the ladder on model #926 Pumper changed from red to white. It was still made of steel.
CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: In 1965 and 1966, the two auxiliary side ladders and single extension ladder on #998 Aerial Ladder were natural finish aluminum. In 1967, the three ladders were made of steel and painted white.
CHANGES FROM LAST YEAR: The load on the #840 Car Carrier changed from one white Falcon Sedan, one red Ranchero and one blue Ranchero in 1966 to one red Mustang, one white Mustang and one blue Ranchero in 1967.
